Our University and our study programmes are state-approved

As the SRH University of Applied Sciences in North Rhine-Westphalia, we offer you high-quality and internationally recognised studies at the SRH Campus Rhineland. Our Campus Rhineland, our university and our study programmes are accredited and institutionally accredited. We are internationally networked and have been awarded for our learning and teaching model the CORE-Principle.

Institutionally accredited

In 2013, we received the seal of approval from the Science Council, the highest German science committee. This ensures the quality of research and teaching. It also examines whether we and our study programmes meet recognised standards. The Science Council praises, among other things, the high level of identification of the qualified personnel with the university and the pronounced commitment to teaching and student support.

We were institutionally reaccredited in 2018. In its vote, the Science Council emphasises the positive development of the university. It also confirms that the university is valued as a cooperation partner in the region by companies and institutions in the social sector.

Our teaching and learning model CORE awarded

In 2018, our teaching and learning model CORE was honoured with the Genius Loci Award. The Genius Loci Award is the only institutional prize for excellent teaching in Germany and is awarded by the Stifterverband. The SRH developed a unique teaching and learning model in 2012 with the CORE-Principle (short for: Competence Oriented Research and Education). It is based on scientific findings from learning and brain research.

Top rating in CHE rankings

Eight of our study programmes from the departments of Technology and Economics as well as Social Science have achieved top rankings in 2020.
Our Bachelor's study programmes in Social Work have all been awarded top rankings in the CHE University Ranking 2020 in the five categories "Practice Orientation", "Supervision by Lecturers", "Organisation of Studies", "Examinations" and "Infrastructure" of the programme. The CHE ranking also positively evaluated the fact that all of our professors can provide evidence of current professional experience outside of higher education.

In the areas of "Practical Orientation of Studies" and "Fast Completion", the Department of Technology and Economics achieved the respective top group.
